Daniel Ruff

Designer

With strong ties to the Mississippi Gulf Coats built on fishing and an innate connection to the city of New Orleans, Daniel began his journey as an architect in his home town of Starkville, Mississippi where he earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture at Mississippi State University.

While interning at Lake Flato Architects in Austin, Texas, Daniel began his career in residential design. His experience spans large-scale mass timber projects, a tower in Austin, and various historic renovation projects in New Orleans where he now resides.

Daniel believes architecture that responds to people’s needs, comforts, and productivity is a human right, and that designing these buildings in a way that is both sustainable and considerate of their respective communities is a fundamental responsibility of all architects.

Outside of the office, Daniel can be found tending to his plants, making funky furniture, or hanging around mid-city.
