This position is not meant to create a BIM workflow for the studio, but to maintain and grow one that has already been established.
Since 2010, EskewDumezRipple has staffed the position of BIM Manager as we believe keeping up with the latest changes in technology is a key to our continued success in the market. We are seeking qualified candidates intending to pursue a dedicated focus in continuing the influence of technology in our industry to achieve efficiency and continual improvement within a collaborative design process.
Maintains and updates firm practices, standards, and tools to optimize efficiency and accuracy of BIM production and digital design; including maintenance and updates of studio best practices, file management standards, project set-up and support.
Trains, coaches, and supports staff in Revit and related architectural software.
Works with project teams at startup and throughout design and documentation to ensure the use of best practices and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Coordinates research and recommendations related to emerging design technologies and digital design.
Coordinates with consultants to integrate their design/documentation methodologies with EDR’s to facilitate consistent and reliable transfer of information.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience with digital design in architecture or a related field. Previous BIM manager experience is a plus.
Demonstrable knowledge and proven background in Revit.
Additional knowledge of Enscape, AutoCAD, Rhino, Navisworks, Dynamo preferred.
Interest and experience in emerging digital design and computation technologies and related software applications and practices.
Must be highly effective at implementing software programs, techniques, and procedures and have a desire to work in an entrepreneurial, architectural environment.
Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and organized.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and strong team-oriented people skills; must be able to articulate BIM concepts and practices to all levels of design team.
